Ross M. Momaney
Ross graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a B.S in Elementary Education with concentrations in the Visual Arts and Social Studies, earned is MA in Art Education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and his Principal Certification at the Upper Valley Educators Institute. He started his role as Principal of Halifax Elementary School in 2025.
Ross brings a deep passion for education and a strong belief in the power of community. Originally from Dummerston, Vermont, Ross grew up immersed in the unique spirit of small-town schools.
Throughout his career, Ross has held a wide range of roles, including classroom teacher, art educator, and arts integration specialist, mentor teacher, and visiting arts teacher in schools in Maine. His dedication to project-based learning and community-connected teaching has had a lasting impact on both students and school culture.
Ross is a firm believer in building inclusive, collaborative school environments rooted in creativity, positive school climate, and shared vision. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, working in his ceramics studio, restoring furniture, and reading.
